Here’s the latest addition to our group poems:
Second Chances
LAWS Group Poem
Everyone should get
like five or six of them
Cats get nine lives,
those fuckers,
we struggle to get two
what use are nine lives
or second chances if you’re
an asshole?
Why have lives at all
when time continues again
and again
And we have chance
upon chance but
simply can’t recall
the first chance
So make that first chance
count, it may be all you get
you may be swept up
in a police dragnet
Make your own chance,
you may find yourself in France
without any pants
You may find yourself needing to take
another glance
Is this the first time, again?
Is it the last?
Those chances one through two go by so fast
Join us for next week’s LAWS! It’s out 10th one, and the theme is BOOTY and/or Innocence!
